UPFA won the North Central Province-Provincial Council with 338,552 votes securing 21 seats. The UNP obtained 196,127 votes with 11 seats while JVP has obtained 160,66 votes with one seat.

Opposition campaign in this election was dirty. They tried to take the advantage of drought. They even blamed government for kidney disease. Voters in this country are more intelligent that opposition thinks. Now government should pay more attention to education, health , oil , power and agriculture.

Yes all governments in Asia is involved in corruption. Perhaps voters may have thought if UNP wins corruption will be more as they were not in power so long.

I dont think UNP is corrupted now since most of the guys left and joined other parties , the future govt would definitely a corrupt free one
