Piece of glass found in injection vial
Following the detection of a piece of glass in an injection vial at the Kalubowila Teaching Hospital last week, steps have been taken to immediately stop using vials belonging to that batch in all hospitals in the country, the Health Ministry said.
“We have sent it for further investigations,” an official said. The vial batch, under the brand name ‘IV cloxacillin’ was imported from India.(Dharsana Sanjeewa)
