PM Sharif for strong economic ties with SL

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif today said that Pakistan's economic ties and trade linkages with Sri Lanka must be further strengthened for the benefit of Sri Lankan people, Pakistani news paper Daily Times said.

The prime minister stated this while talking to Pakistan's newly appointed High Commissioner in Sri Lanka, Maj Gen (r) Shakeel Hussain at the Prime Minister’s House. The designated high commissioner thanked the government for reposing confidence in him, a Prime Minister’s Office statement said. (Daily Times)

Why this govt so much interested inPakistan. Any idea about Religious Terrorism and drugs which can flow from this muslim majority country?
