PM’s son tops in Kandy

UPFA candidate Anuradha Jayaratne, son of Prime Minister D.M.Jayaratne gained the highest preference votes in the Kandy District with 107,644 votes. Former Chief Minister Sarath Ekanayake has obtained 70,171 votes and Thilina Tennakoon received 45,060 votes.

(1) Money (e.g. from illicit liquor and drug)
(2)Money (e.g. from family)
(3)Rich friends
(4) Political family background or in good terms with The Family.
