I get your point. but unfortunately these things happen ALOT in this country. few months ago a child died in bentota because of a public shoot out. for these things to happen so frequently, there must be a reason besides the fault of just 1 ignorant cop.

Why do you guys always see the bad side. These things happen every where. After all we all are humans. Sri Lankans are not saints. Do you know tht British police shoot down an innocent Brazilian boy in the subway thinking that he is a terrorist. So will you say "The law of the Jungle Rules". Have you heard about a place called Guantanamo Bay. It is run by the so called Leader of the free world.
It is very unfair when ever a shooting or demo. happen to blame on the government , Sinhalese race or for Buddhism. Lot of people do that in this forum. Just be cool man.

in other "developed" countries the public can sue the police for opening fire in a public area. these guys are not trained at all. (also as seen in the recent trafic accident when a policeman throws a bottle of water on a burning trishaw - foolish! - it is an oil fire and water can cuase explosive results.)
gone are the days when the police was a highly respectable force with high calibre. now - thuttu dekey fellows!
