An investigation has been launched based on the statement made by the widow of popular announcer and songs writer Premakeerthi De Alwis on his killing, Police Spokesman Ajith Rohana said today.

The Colombo Crime Division (CCD) has recorded a statement by Nirmala De Alwis on some of the matters she had mentioned.

“We have recorded a statement and we are investigating,” SSP Rohana said. (LSP)
