The CID informed this to court producing Officer-in-Charge of Seeduwa Police station and an Inspector of the same police station before the magisterial inquiry conducting on the alleged murder and causing grievous injuries to 21-year-old Free Trade Zone worker Roshen Chanaka.
Negombo Chief Magistrate A. M. N. P. Amerasinghe ordered to remand the suspects, Seeduwa OIC, Chief Inspector, R. M. Ratnayake and OIC of the Environmental Unit, Inspector K. L. Ranasinghe who are to be charged under three counts. (Susitha R. Fernando and Hubert Fernando)

Please look after these officers well. Don't let them commit suicide since it will be the end of the drama.

When the Govt had already announced that the FREE TRADE ZONE EMPLOYEES ARE EXEMPTED FROM THE PROPOSED PENSION SCHEME, why did the workers simply followed JVPers advices and started agitating???
Strikers themselves are at fault.

Don't you get the point. They are going to say that police have not fired a single live bullet. But, some organized unruly elements have fired the protesters from behind to disrepute the government. IGP can take his post back. Lol...

Police may be in custody as a token face saving by MR but once the heat is off they will be released. If shots came from 3-directions, certainly the 2-directions where the police was not present might well have been covered by Mervyn Silva's thugs. It is unusual for Silva to keep quiet at a time like this, and I am sure the reason he is quiet is that he had a hand in the death of the young man.

Do you think these police officers will be punished? The same people who gave the orders will rescue these officers from the back door and make them move upwards as a reward for their slience.

The question is who gave them the firing order with live bullets. Retirement or a million wouldnt solve the matter.

This clearly shows that the intention of the police was not to disperse the crowd, but to kill or seriously wound some protestors.
