Police to give Basil reasonable time to report to FCID

Police Spokesman Ruwan Gunasekara said the police would give former Minister Basil Rajapaksa a reasonable time to report to the Financial Crime Investigation Division (FCID) based on acourt order against him.

ASP Gunasekara said it was issued by the Kaduwela Magistrate’s Court.

He said they would decide on the next step if Mr. Rajapaksa did not turn up at the FCID.

“We will have to inform the Court if he does not turn up at the FCID but we have not decided on a second step yet,” ASP Gunasekera said.
