The transfer of some 10,000 police personnel earlier put on hold will come into effect from February 10, 2015, Police said.


They said the transfers were earlier scheduled for February 1 but were later postponed to May 1 and now it will be in effect on February 10.

The transfers would be carried out after considering the appeals of police personnel who have been serving in the North and East for a long time, police said.
