Provincial Councillor arrested for alleged assault

UNP North Western Provincial Councillor Thushara Indunil was arrested today by the Giriulla police for an alleged assault, police said.

Police spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana said he was arrested on charges of having assaulted his brother and sister.

If the accused is a pro government politician the Police comes out with excuses for not arresting but if it is a opposition politician the Police is very smart in arresting the accused. It is a disgrace on the part of the Police and the Government for such happenings.
