PSD clash with SLTB employees

A clash erupted between personnel of the Presidential Security Division and the workers of the Sri Lanka Transport Board in Kurunegala this morning. The clash was later settled by the intervention of the Kurunegala police.

The clash erupted after a vehicle belonging to the PSD was parked in a manner that obstructed the entrance to the Welawa road near the Muththetugal railway crossing. A heated argument had taken place between the SLTB employees and the PSD personnel due the inability of the SLTB bus to enter the Welawa road due to the obstructing PSD vehicle.

Later the clash was settled after the Kurunegala police intervened. (Pushpakumara Jayarathna )
