Sanga, Murali secure Lankan win



Sri Lanka recorded a comprehensive 112 run win against New Zealand in its final Group A game of the 2011 Cricket World Cup at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, a short while ago.

Sri Lanka who already qualified for Quarter-Final round, scored 265 for the loss of 9 in their 50 overs, with captain Kumar Sangakkara scoring 111 off 128 balls. Tim Southee took a match bag of 3 for 63 for the Kiwis.

New Zealand in reply were dismissed for 153 runs in 35 overs; Ross Taylor top scoring with 33 off 55 balls. Mutthiah Muralitharan secured the best bowling figures of the match, taking 4 for 25 in 8 overs.
