Second reading of budget passed

The second reading of the Budget 2013 was passed in Parliament a short while ago, with a majority of 103 votes. 156 voted in favor and 53 voted against.
The main opposition UNP, DNA and TNA voted against the budget. The Budget 2013 was presented in Parliament by President Mahinda Rajapaksa on November 8.
