Security tightened in Kalmunai

Security has been tightened in the Kalmunai area following a clash between two factions in Sainthamaruthu, in Kalmunai last night after members of the Sri Lanka Thawheed Jamaath (SLTJ) reportedly opened a new Prayer centre in the area.

Police spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana said the incident started when another Muslim faction protested over the setting up of the new prayer centre.

The Thawheed jamat are not extremists! They are trying to preach the true Islam! Worship One God! The majority dont like it..remember the incident in Beruwela a few years back when they murdered 2 Muslims for trying to spread the trurh! A Muslim is one who submits his will to Almighty Allah who created all of us. We worship and ask help from him alone! Unfortunately many Muslims in Sri Lanka commit grave worship and associate partner with Allah! This is not Islam and they fail to be Muslims! Avoid asking Saints and going to shiaras! It is a terrible sin and the only unforgiveable sin in Islam!

Quite agree. Sri Lanka has seen too much of violence and hatred for too many years. Let's not allow such extremists to destroy our country again. We must all stand together united as one Sri Lanka !!!!! God Bless our paradise island.
