Seven hurt in Panvila stampede
At least seven people were injured in a stampede that ensued after a group fired into the air near the Kelabokke polling booth at Panvila in Kandy this afternoon, election monitors said.
Both the PAFFREL and CAFFE said that they had lodged a complaint with the Elections Secretariat over the alleged election violation.
Meanwhile, CAFFE said a shooting incident was also reported in Kodikamam damaging a vehicle belonging to a TNA candidate.
