Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka arrived at the Bribery Commission a short while ago to lodge a complaint against the Avant Garde Maritime Security Company.
Avant Garde Chairman retired Major Nissanka Senadipathi had allegedly said he had given funds to the Field Marshal. The claims were rejected by the Field Marshal Fonseka.

Sir, sorry for that. All these funds came to my pocket under others names.

At last some action instead of trading charges. That is the way to go - we are fed up with talk of giving and taking but no complaint. Also about Letters of Demand and no follow up.

The problem of Sarath Fonseka is that he poked himself into places he should not have been in.

If Avant Garde conducted business in legal manner why they have given (or tried to) monies lavishly to politicians and other influential parties. Why not tax authorities have a deep look at financial statements of Avant Garde to see how these donations have been accounted and claimed against tax liability.
