Sri Lanka and Pakistan said today that both countries stand to benefit more from increased military exchanges and training at a regular pace.

“Both countries stand to benefit more from increased military exchanges and training at a regular pace, besides sharing of counter-terrorism measures and sharing of experiences,” the APP said after the meeting between visiting President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister D M Jayaratne today in Colombo.

The two leaders also discussed ways to further strengthen ties between the two countries with a focus on exploring new avenues of cooperation.

Is MR going to invite Taliban and Al Qaeda to this country by improving military ties with Pakistan. They cannot protect their own people and soil what nonsense are we talking about. Having no ties with Pakistan will have peace and harmony in Sri Lanka.
