Soldier killed and 5 injured in crash

Five soldiers were injured while an Army Second Lieutenant was killed after an army vehicle they were traveling crashed into a tree in Minneriya, around 3 am this morning, the Minneriya police said.

The five injured Army personnel were rushed to the Pollonnaruwa hospital for treatment. The police are conducting investigations into the accident. (K.G.Karunarathna)

You all guys reduce your speed and obey the rules of the road. Even the CTB bus drivers when they carry security personnel, they become road owners.

Too may accidents involving forces including the police. Lives also being lost. Both forces and civilians. Something has to be done.
