The State of Emergency was extended for a further period of one month with a majority of 81 votes a short while ago. 98 voted for it and 17 against. The UNP, DNA and TNA voted against the motion.

The TNA MP R.Sampanthan called for a division on the motion.

Sri Lanka is still under emergency rule??? My goodness then the present government is not fit to rule the country. They must hand over power to the UNP immediately. This is not good for the country at all.
