The police investigations into the case against ITN News and Current Affairs Deputy General Manager Sudharman Radaliyagoda and two other suspects have now been handed over to the Peliyagoda Special Crimes Division from Colombo Fraud Investigations Bureau, the Peliyagoda police informed Colombo Fort Magistrate today.
In this case Mr. Sudharman Radaliyagoda had been named as the main suspect over his alleged involvement in providing a forged document to two scrap iron traders to obtain 1,828 tonnes of scrap iron. The other two suspects J.A. Asoka Perera and M. K. M. Anil Tilak Bandara were charged for allegedly tendering a forged document to the Sri Lanka Telecom that was alleged to have been given to them by Mr. Radaliyagoda to obtain 1828 tonnes of scrap iron.
Mr. Radaliyagoda was not present in court today despite the court order, the police was ordered to arrest him. (Lakmal Sooriyagoda)
