Former LTTE women's wing leader Subramaniam Sivakamy alias Thamilini aged 43 has died, while undergoing treatment for cancer at the Maharagama Cancer Hospital. She had been rehabilitated and released in 2013.
Thamilini was arrested by the Sri Lankan military in an internment camp in Vavuniya after the conclusion of the armed conflict and detained under the rehabilitation programme, before being released in 2013.

Hopefully some of the people who comments here know that cancer can invade anyone regardless of character, gender, rich or poor.

Never spell the word LTTE again as they have already killed 75% of their own Tamil population.

She should be grateful to the SriLankan Government for treating her in a State Owned Hospital.

Let her soul rest in peace. If she would not have joined the nasty blood suckers (LTTE), she would lived long.

Gees, look at these comments, is our society that inhumane? Who said only bad people get cancer? Whether she is good or bad is irrelevant, deepest sympathies to her family.

So what you are saying is that the TNA would have defended her in courts if she had committed suicide?

She could have lived double the life she spent if she thought of the value of a human life.

I think the Government silently eliminates people who may become as witness in future in war crimes investigations....

The TNA did not defend her in courts. They did not defend her because she did not commit suicide when captured.
