Who broke the law? Must be a mistake. Srilankan policemen never break law. They must have been travelling in a trishaw.

Three passengers and a driver in a trishaw was enforced. So I guess 3 adults on a motorbike is also approved. If a cop sets the standard we will follow.

Yes the same I wanted to ask too, how come 3 in one motorcycle, I guess this law was only applied to 3 Wheeler's and not 2 Wheeler's

Not more than three passenger on three-wheeler and two passenger on motorcycle as per law, this is an example for those who ignore the law.

I want to re-iterate the same sentiment by several others. It was unfortunate we lost 3 lives. But is this is happent off duty or on-duty. If it is on duty then we have a serious breach of trust and decipline. IGP high time to watch your own people...

Its sad that none of the comments above have any sympathy/empathy to 3 human beings who woke up in the morning not knowing that that would be the last. instead we are having a derisive debate on law enforces being law breakers.

sympathies for the men and families, but the law 2 persons on a motor bike is for safety, they paid the price for not obeying the same law that they should have enforced.
