The Meteorology Department said today thundershowers exceeding 100mm could be expected in some parts of the country.

 It said thundershowers would occur in the Northern, North-central, Eastern and Uva provinces and in the Hambantota district during the afternoon or evening

The Department said temporary localized strong winds could also be expected during thundershowers.
