TNA to challenge Bill in Court

TNA will challenge the Local Authorities Elections (Amendment) Bill in Court, TNA MP M.A. Sumanthiran said today. The TNA earlier strongly opposed the proposed Local Government Elections (Amendment) Bill charging that it would lead to a ‘two-party system’. (KB)

It is a nice development, when these former LTTE proxies have started to respect, trust and have become dependent on the judicial system established in Sri lanka. I may add the UNITARY state of all Sri Lankans, including all TNA followers. On a personal note, two party system is much desirable than a system run by political parties that divide the people and contest on the basis of ethnicity, religion and language.
