Two drown in Kurunegala
A seven year-old girl and a 31 year old man died and another person was hospitalized when they drowned while bathing in Kanapaddan Wewa, Polpithigama yesterday evening, Police said.
The group had gone for a bath at the Kanapaddan Wewa after attending a function in the area. The victims were residents of Gokarella and the injured was admitted to the Kurunegala hospital.
