Two Policemen interdicted
Two policemen, who were on duty near the stage of an election rally of common opposition candidate Maithripala Sirisena in Kolonnawa which was shot at by an unidentified group on Tuesday night were interdicted for failing to carry out their duties, Police said.
Police Spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana said that the two policemen-a Sub Inspector and Police Constable- were duty at the scene last night.
Several gunmen who had arrived in a van opened fire at the stage of an election rally of common opposition candidate Sirisena in Kolonnawa last night.
