The UN has cut down its flash appeal to US $ 43 mn from the original 51 mn for rebuilding after the two waves of floods in January and February, officials said today.

UN Acting Country Director Adnan Khan told Daily Mirror today that the revised flash appeal had been submitted for approval by the UN offices in New York and Geneva. Once the approval was given, Mr. Khan said, it would be formally announced seeking funds from donors. (KB)
