UNP to withdraw Writ application

The UNP will withdraw the Writ application filed against the rejection of its nomination papers for the Maharagama Urban Council, if the Local Government elections in those areas are postponed by the Election Commissioner, General Secretary of the UNP Tissa Attanayake told Daily Mirror. (SAJ)

What is the relationship between the election date and the verdict ? Those are totally independent wit each other.
