The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) requested the public to make use of the water supply with care and conserve water as much as possible during these days.

An official of the NWSDB stated that the requested is made from the public due to the excess usage of water that has been triggered following the warm weather prevalent these days. “Currently there is no risk of any water-cuts but due to the high usage of water, the amount of water which flows to high grounds have lessened. Therefore it is better if the water could be preserved as much as possible,” the official stated. (Lakna Paranamanna)

It seems NWSBD always blame the users.Have they planned
the increased consumption this year and the coming years.What are the new water projects coming up. Are there delays in implementing?

NWSBD should provide airconditioning on all buses and also provide free AC units to all households and pay for electricity, if they do not wanr people to cool off using water
