Please tell me under which section of the penal code prohibits the making of 'vulgar' comments.
To the contrary article 14 of the Constitution provides statutory right of freedom of expression.

why do you blame the girl? Have you ever traveled in a packed bus in Sri Lanka?. There could be hundreds of women to testify how they are molested by our own maniacs! If she is innocent , your word of whore will return to your OWN HOME!!CHANDRA

So this is the punishment you get when a girl tries to stand up against sexual harassment in sri lanka. this is so unexpected.

anyone can say anything...u cant hit just because he said something..thats against law
A brave girl! She did the right thing. No good looking woman can wall on the streets of Sri Lanka without being sexually harassed. It is taken for granted that men can make rude, vulgar and sexual comments, touch them in the busses and do what ever they want and get away with it. The police shows a blind eye, there are no regulations land laws against it. Girls are ashamed to report. Powerful are the worst as they even go further by raping them. This girl had a guts to take on the man who made a vulgar comment. Hats off to her. I cannot understand why no action was taken against the man who made the vulgar comment!

At a glance I resemble the story of dancing girl who attached to "Cleopatra Night Club" (Nai Nalagana).
