National Freedom Front (NFF) leader Wimal Weerawansa claimed there is audio evidence the opposition had attempted to seek the support of National Freedom Front MP Mohamad Muzamil by offering him a lucrative financial deal.
Speaking to reporters today Weerawansa said that the evidence of attempts by the opposition to “buy” support will be released to the media soon.
Muzamil, who was also present at the briefing, said he will not sell himself to the opposition.

Please keep track of this massive amount of money! Anti-Bribery officials, CID officers, Inland Revenue officers, etc., please take action, without delay, and without any political interference! Please disclose the truth, to the public! If you do not, do we may all think this a hoax!

apparently all these English reading dudes do not understand the ground reality of the day. Fonseka has got 10days to get in to oblivion. Probably fonnie wants somebody now to stop NFF attacks on him regarding dirty money, nepotism, and many other mis-deeds. This NFF fellow was too smart for him. Anyway, people will have to decide on the candidate who has the capacity to deliver the goods to the country and not someone who is a prisoner of a rainbow of political parties.

Can anyone enlighten me on who this Muzamil is? The truth is that voters of this country are not aware of these MPs, from Weerawansa's group. So why would SF want him & for such a huge amount of money? For how many votes? This is a real joke!!! 'Pacha-wansa,' is an expert at fabricating stories. Shame on you 'Gel,' for practicing such low level politics! Please do not think that voters of this country are fools. They are well aware, of what is really going on!

We don't have to take Weerawangsa as a man with integrity. Going by his standard of betrayal calling General as a traitor, he must call himself as the biggest traitor as he had betrayed his party and had been the principal cause for the split in the party just to remain in the government. Shameless soul.

Its really sad to see that Srilankan politicians doing scams like this. If this is true, why cant they take SF or the person who handed out money to courts or the bribery commission? These type of things clearly indicate what the government is capable of. They know that they can do any B.S and get away with it. I urge the public to Vote wisely on the 26th and say no to CORRUPTION.

Let's see how the ruling leader talks today. He started in a well deciplined manner, but unfortunately we caoont see it today. The followers of the curent leader is worst... if you need, I can givefew excellent exmaples.
Anyway, It should be SF who can build a polited society again in this country.

I thought it was number one UNPer and got confused this Muzammil might be a national list MP filled by JVP with the bonanza given to them after winning the alliance in 2004 just to please or woo the Muslim minority. The offer is really true might be for the strange coincidence of name they would have wanted to coverup some deal or to show that JVP is stronger after the vertical split. Horse trading and 'mare' trading continues...once the news first was full of 'mare' trading on JVP politicians day and night, laugh out loud!

Weerawansa's claim is a real joke as Mohamad Muzamil comes to General SF office to support him and if so why do General SF needs to pay money to canvas for support ???????
This could be either a plant or Mohamed Muzamil expected money when he came to declare his support.

Friday, 15 January 2010 10:55 AM
Fonseka is funded by INGOs and West.
He has money, but not votes.
That is why they wanted bo buy votes.
In fact Fonseka has sold soverinity of srilanka to TNA.
But majority srilankans will not sell votes at this decisive juncture.
Result by 27th Jan will clearly send strong signal to West and pro-west group what true srilankans wanted.
