Yasasiri Kasthuriarachchi acting Kataragama Basnayake Nilame

Yasasiri Kasthuriarachchi has been appointed the acting Basnayake Nilame of the Kataragama Devalaya by the Ministry of Buddhist Affairs.

The post of the Basnayake Nilame was vacant after Shashindra Rajapaksa’s tenure expired last week.

It is reported that the election to appoint Basnayake Nilame would be held in April after the New Year.(M.K. Nandasena)

i think friends this is not yahapalanaya we expected. why can not we appoint a dayaka sabha for kataragama. this can be represented by nayaka therossec ministry of buddhist affaires aga of kataragama and some members with honest and integrity. appointing business man who has a bad patch to control millions of funds belongs to the god skanda is very bad. that is not yahapalanaya. via DM Android App
