Alles complains to CID against Duminda Nagamuwa

Public Security Minister Tiran Alles today lodged a complaint with the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) against Frontline Socialist Party activist Duminda Nagamuwa, who had made a statement involving the JVP and Minister Alles.

The Minister said Nagamuwa had made a statement at a news conference on August 12 that Tiran Alles and the JVP were maintaining an offshore account on a European island.

The Minister lodged the complaint demanding an investigation into this statement.

The Minister said he has always ordered that the law be implemented against anyone, irrespective of their status and that he expected the same would apply to this case as well. He added that people should know the truth behind such allegations.

First investigation should be how you are able to approach CID directly but the General Public has to step into a Police Station. Is it a privilege to politicians only!
