Chief Inspector of police killed in Homagama accident

A chief police inspector attached to the Homagama Special Crimes Investigation Division, died after a motorcycle he was riding collided with a bus at Makumbura in Homagama on the Colombo - Avissawella Road.

Police said the deceased is a 47-year-old resident of Panadura.

His body has been handed over to relatives after the post-mortem and autopsy.

The driver of the bus involved in the accident has been arrested, and the Homagama police are conducting further investigations.

Currently there is no road discipline! All the laws and fines have been reviewed and revised but the police is fast asleep. We need a good IGP to lead the team. I only hope the president will not mess it up further!
