Compulsory leave for those disrupted fuel distribution: CPC Chairman
The trade union leaders who obstructed the duties of other workers and those who supported them will be sent on compulsory leave.
The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) will ask the union leaders to apply for compulsory leave, who had obstructed the duties of their fellow workers who supported the sabotage which led to the disruption of fuel distribution.
Issuing a notice yesterday, the CPC Chairman warned that the trade union leaders, including the other workers who supported their trade union action, would be asked to go on compulsory leave.
The chairman further stated that since yesterday (28) the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation premises and the Ceylon Petroleum Storage Terminals Limited (CPSTL) warehouse terminal service premises would be declared as prohibited zones for those who engaged in the sabotage while the other employees will be asked to report to work.
