Colombo, October 29 (Daily Mirror) - Approval has been granted to award the contract to M/s. OQ Trading Limited for the supply of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) to Litro Gas, Sri Lanka for the year 2025, Cabinet spokesman and Minister Vijitha Herath said.
Addressing the media at the weekly meeting to announce Cabinet decisions, he said that tenders had been invited under the single-stage, double-lot system, following the international competitive bidding process for the supply of LPG to Litro Gas Lanka Limited for 2025.
"Only two suppliers, M/s OQ Trading Limited and M/s Siam Gas Trading Pte. Ltd, submitted bids for this purpose. However, the bid submitted by M/s Siam Gas Trading Pte. Ltd. was rejected," he said.
Accordingly, based on the recommendations of the Technical Appraisal Committee and the Standing Procurement Committee appointed by the Cabinet, M/s. OQ Trading Limited has been approved as the substantively responsive bidder for the contract to supply LPG to Litro Gas Company for 2025.
