Court orders nine suspects including ’Ratta’ arrested

The Fort Magistrate yesterday ordered police to arrest nine suspects, including Rathindu Senaratne alias 'Ratta', Wasantha Mudalige and Lahiru Weerasekara for being part of the violent incidents at Fort and Talangama on June 6 and 9 and produce them before courts.

Police said B report has been filed in Court against the suspects who were found to have been involved in the violent acts in front of the Police Headquarters and Isurupaya Education Ministry on June 9 and 10.

Police said Wasantha Mudalige has been found as a suspect in connection with both the protests held on the 9 and 10 June.

The other suspects ordered to to arrested are; Jagath Manuwarna, Dhammika Munasinghe, Rathkarawwe Jinaratana Thera, Eranga Gunasekara, Jehan Appuhamy and Galwewa Siridhamma Thera. (Darshana Sanjeewa Balasuriya)
