Crime continues, four injured in Kelaniya shooting

Four individuals have been injured in a shooting incident in the Dippitigoda area in Kelaniya, Police said.

The incident occurred when two unidentified men on a motorcycle opened fire on a group yesterday afternoon (25).

The injured individuals were rushed to the National Hospital in Colombo where they are being treated.

The injured aged 24, 34 and 44 have been identified as residents of Wellampitiya, Angoda, Peliyagoda, and Dompe.

According to police, a T-56 gun has been used in the shooting, and further investigations are underway.
