Train service on the Kelani Valley railway line has been disrupted due to the broken track between Baseline and Narahenpita railway stations, the Railways Department said.

They stated that the department's workers are currently repairing the track.

Please hand over our railways to India. In the railway department from top to bottom corrupt. To book tickets the standard answer at the counter is all tickets sold out. An honest responsible person should immediately go in and see for himself the validity of such comment. If you know someone in the station you can book the ticket by giving a “ gift”. Disgrace to Sri Lanka.

This type of derailment are common in India. It is so common , they are not reported in the press or electronic media.

@ Mizaru- Your wishful thinking. I am living in South India since 1995. I travel daily by train which is over crowded. However there are no derailment. I see the railway track workers attending to the tracks every day reinforcing the ballast and keeping them safe.The station masters are very strict in attending to the running of trains and safety.
