Diana Gamage proclaims she is the actual SJB leader
Government MP Diana Gamage today said she is the actual leader of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) and that those who claimed to be leader of the party today had taken it from her illegally.
Gamage told Parliament that those who claim to be leaders of SJB are jokers.
“It was my party 'Ape Jana Bala Pakshaya’ is my party. Telephone is the symbol of my party. I have allowed these politicians including the leader of Opposition use my party and contest the general election 2020 when they were facing a danger of losing nominations from the UNP. It is like taking over my house by changing the keys. I invited them in because they got caught to the rain,” the MP said.
“How can SJB expel me from my party without informing me. They say the working committee of the party had decided to expel me. I inquired from some working committee members about the decision and I was told that they were not aware of my expulsion,” she added.
“I will disclose the divisions prevail within SJB if this comedy continues. Members of the SJB are going their own way and the party is in shambles,” she also said.
MP Mujibur Rahaman in his response said Gamage has been expelled from SJB legally by the working committee.(Yohan Perera and Ajith Siriwardana)
