Exploiting 15-year-old girl: Dy. Chairman of Mihintale PS, businessman netted
Three more persons including the Deputy Chairman of the Mihintale Pradeshiya Sabha and a leading businessman have been arrested for sexually exploiting the15-year old girl, police said.
Police Spokesman SDIG Ajith Rohana said 21 suspects have been arrested so far by the Police Children and Women's Bureau in connection with the sexual exploitation on the girl for over three months.
The Police have launched an investigation to nab several persons who paid money for this malicious act, following an arrest of a 35-year old man.
Earlier, the police arrested the main suspect in Mount Lavinia for indulging this teenage girl for sex work.
It was revealed that the suspect had published numerous advertisements on social media luring people to exploit the girl for their sexual thirst.
SDIG Rohana said the police on Tuesday arrested 17 suspects including the mother of the girl, a three-wheeler driver, a car driver and the person who has designed the website for the advertising.
This brothel was stealthily functioning at an apartment in Mount Lavinia and the victim, where the 15 year old girl has been forced to give company to a number of strangers who call over there for sexual needs.
The spokesman said the arrested would be produced before the Hulftsdorp Magistrate Court today.(Darshana Sanjeewa Balasuriya)
