MP Wimalaweera Dissanayake says he and Namal are malnourished

SLPP MP Wimalaweera Dissanayake said yesterday that like himself, former President's son MP Namal Rajapaksa is also suffering from malnutrition.

While answering a question raised by a journalist during a media briefing that Sri Lanka has become among the countries suffering from severe hunger, the MP said that not only in Sri Lanka, malnutrition has existed in the history of any country to some extent, but not as much reported by the media.

"Now it is said that the prices of eggs, milk powder, fish and meat are high and people can not afford them. I don't even eat Maldive fish. So I am now malnourished. Namal Rajapaksa is also malnourished as he does not eat even a piece of Maldive fish. That weight lifting champion from Polonnaruwa (Chinthaka) also eats only vegetables. He is also malnourished," the MP replied.

If his talk was translated and shown, it could be seen as why and how the government/SLPP is full the worst type of persons who would knowingly continue to violate human rights. The buffoon in effect saying no increase malnourishment has occurred. Then all the aid we reverie them must be getting wasted. The donations for feeding the needy must be stupid too. Overall, his superficial and insensitive talk shows how much allowance and easy life the government MPs have.

He is obviously well fed. He is mixing his vegetarianism and advocating for it, skipping over the the real issue of growing poverty and hunger. The public voting for fools who for religious reasons choose to eat certain things or not based on their beliefs is the underlying cause for fools such as him talking this nonsense. Public must not vote for person based on religious and cultural activity otherwise worse MP than him and Namal will happen.
