Magistrate allows CID to question Thilini at Welikada Prison
The Colombo Fort Magistrate has permitted the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) to record statements from owner of Thico Group Private Ltd. Thilini Priyamali who is in remand at the Welikada Prison.
Prisons Spokesman Chandana Ekanayake said the Magistrate allowed the CID to record a statement from Thilini at the prison till November 30.
Meanwhile, Thilini Priyamali was presented to the Prison Tribunal headed by Colombo Additional District Judge held at the Welikada Prison again today on charges of possessing a mobile phone inside the prison cell.
The spokesman said the charge leveled against the suspect was adjourned for further examination until December 8.
