No points deducted from Trinity

There will be no points deducted from Trinity College in pulling out from their encounter against Zahira College in their Dialog Schools Under 19 Rugby League encounter citing medical issues for 7 of their players while in Colombo.

After Zahira protesting there was an inquiry held by the Sri Lanka Schools Rugby Football Association last weekend in Colombo. The final verdict was that Trinity College will not be have any points deducted from their earned point in the League encounters. Further 5 of their forwards were not fit to play and according to rules a team cannot field Under 16 players in the front row due to their age.

Trinity is expected to play Isipathana in the first quarter final of the Knock out tournament.

Meanwhile Trinity has written to Zahira and await confirmation on their postponed rugby encounter which is likely to be played at Maradana on 19 August if both schools agree. (Shamseer Jaleel)
