A lot of such illegal activities and more are being conducted by 'visitors' from China, Africa and India. This isn't exclusive to Sri Lanka but internationally too. This is not a racist comment but one based on facts. Even the gem trade in Ratnapura hasn't been spared but the authorities are either blind or their palms are well greased.

The Economics that was busted. Landlord gets money. Camera sellers get money. Data (Telco) gets money. Potential for a STD doctor to get money. Possibly a lingerie company would have got a sale. Chines currency (FDI) comes in to the country. The couples get entertainment and relaxation. Downside - nothing. Except the moral compass (malimava) of our holy land been damaged

These notorious Chinese companies have become a menace. Another good example is the Chinese run online loan companies which which extort money in the name of giving quick loans. Nothing registered, not regulated

Almost all such Lankan performers are poor in their performancs, fat and/or ugly. They make a bad impression of the country and it's a good thing the police take them out of the screens. Let the ones who're presentable carry on with their good work and bring in some foreign currency!
