President should learn from the song ’Menike Mage Hithe’
President Gotabaya Rajapaksa should learn a lesson from the song 'Menike Mage Hithe' which has become an international hit song and listen to the suggestions of all political parties and religious leaders in combating the COVID-19 pandemic, SJB Member Niroshan Padukka said today.
Pakdukka said the song 'Menike Mage Hithe' was not originally sung by the artiste who is singing it now but someone else. However she managed to make it a hit. Likewise the President too can claim credit if he combats the COVID 19 pandemic by following the advice of other political parties and religious leaders, he said at a press conference today afternoon.
"People of this country gave credit to Rajapaksas for winning the war though Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka played a leading role in it'" he said citing another example.(Yohan Perera)
