SL Army gets new Chief of Staff
Major General Sanjaya Wanasinghe has been appointed as the Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army.
He brings a wealth of experience and leadership to this important role. Notably, Major General Sanjaya Wanasinghe is the eldest son of General Hamilton Wanasinghe, a highly respected figure in the military.
General Hamilton Wanasinghe served as the Commander of the Sri Lanka Army from 1981 to 1991. His remarkable career also included roles as the Joint Operations Commander and the Secretary of Defence.
