Sinister move to get SJB MPs to cross over –Sajith

Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa alleged that there is a sinister move to buy over MPs from his party the Samagi Jana Balawegaya ( SJB).

Speaking during a public meeting in Dehiwala, Mr. Premadasa said some MPs have been offered millions of rupees if they cross over to the government.

“Buying over of MPs is the latest game plan of the government,” he said.

“The incumbent President once sent his MPs on a tour to Singapore to woo MPs to his side when a UPFA government tried to woo them,” he recalled.

“One wonders whether the government is out of its mind to launch an operation to woo MPs to its side when some in the ruling party are contemplating crossing over to the opposition,” he added.(Yohan Perera)

The President could get SJB mp's to cross over anytime he wants. He is made of much better qualities than Sajith to bribe mp's to cross over . We all know what Sajith's father did during the impeachment against him.

Insecurity of a party leader has now come on to the public stage. May be the members have list confidence in him or have now read him to realise that he does not have good leadership qualities. One thing that has even put off those who had some hope in him was his public display of 'asai bayai' last year. Now it is the dog in the manger mentality. If he cannot show true leadership move aside and lleave it to another. As for his former he has demonstrated ample leadership, courage, and determination .

Sajith missed his bus... He will lose the position of opposition leader in the near future.. with his numbers reduced a leader of another opposition party will have more followers to qualify for that position.

SJB leadership very weak!! The country went BANKRUPT and it was living hell with no water no electricity no fuel no gas no milk powder no medicine yet the opposition couldn't seize the opportunity to topple the worse and weakest government in the history of SL, unfortunately even the opposition was much weaker than the government,.

If your party members are loyal to you and/or confident on your leadership, why should you be afraid of them crossing over to the ruling party? Do you know that even your party secretary has been looking for a suitable time to leave behind the SJB in the middle of sea?

Some decade ago I supported for UNP. I saw the Sajith splinter from the grand old party that the UNP is as thoroughly sinister. Knowing the history of Sajith's SJB breaking away and then failing at the last election and in the process destroying the UNP too, I see the whole SJB as the sinister lot. Any moves to get the MPs away from Sajith's mad ego driven party is good.

SJB within a short period have become stronger and stronger, finding candidates for elections for SJB is not a issue at all replacing Harin ,Manusha ,Patali for that matter is no issue, Ranil is weak leader he didn't have guts to contest Presidential elections and he decided to nominate put SF and Maitreepala
