Special examination to locate bullet in Agbo’s leg



The wound on the left leg of the elephant Agbo has not yet healed, and the leg will be subjected to a special examination today, Wildlife Health Director Dr. Tharaka Prasad said.

Following the special examination, the doctors will be able to identify the exact location of the bullet in the leg, he said.

In order to find out the behavior of Agbo, Veterinarian Dr. Prasad conducted his observations last evening. The left foot of the elephant is to be subjected to a special examination today, he said.

The tusker had been injured by a trap gun three months ago, and the elephant was getting weaker by the day.
