Sri Lanka donates tea to Pakistan flood victims

Sri Lanka donated a consignment of Ceylon tea to the flood victims in Pakistan following devastating flash floods in the recent weeks.

Foreign Affairs Minister Ali Sabry handed over the consignment to the Pakistan High Commissioner, Umar Farooq Burki, on September 5, 2022 at the Ministry and extended the country's sympathies to the families of victims, those injured and affected by the floods.

Minister Sabry also conveyed the support and solidarity of the government and people of Sri Lanka with Pakistan.

People of Pakistan deseve more than a cup of tea at this moment when they have lost their homes and all their posessions to the floods. Why not sacrifice a days meal like the people of Tamilnadu who came to our rescue when the people of the country had to make do with only two meals a day.
